  2. 2

    Arrange the pages

Drag to reorder, rotate anything sideways and delete what you don't need.

  3. 3

    Download

Create a PDF, split it, compress it or save pages as images in one click.

Private by design

Most online converters upload your documents to their servers. This one doesn't. All conversion happens inside your browser using open-source libraries (pdf.js and pdf-lib), so your files are never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone. Once the page has loaded it even works offline, and you can install it as an app from your browser menu.

Frequently asked questions

Is Free PDF Joiner really free?

Yes. Every feature is free with no sign-up, no limits on the number of files and no watermarks.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens in your web browser on your own device. Your files are never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone, and once the page has loaded the tool even works offline.

Which file types can I convert?

PDF documents and images: JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC/HEIF (iPhone photos), GIF, BMP, AVIF and SVG. TIFF works in browsers that can display it, such as Safari. Office documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are not supported.

How do I combine several PDFs into one?

Add your PDFs, drag the pages into the order you want, then choose Create PDF and press the button. Links, form fields and text in your original PDF pages are kept.

Why do my phone photos come out sideways in other converters?

Phones save a rotation flag instead of rotating the photo itself. Free PDF Joiner reads that flag, so photos appear the right way up. You can still rotate any page manually.

How much can a PDF be compressed?

Scanned documents and photo-heavy PDFs usually shrink by 50–90%. Compression works by re-rendering pages as optimized images, so text in the compressed file is no longer selectable. If a file is already as small as it can get, you'll be told instead of getting a bigger file.

Can I open password-protected PDFs?

Yes. You'll be asked for the password when you add the file. Saving it again without setting a new password creates an unlocked copy. Only do this for documents you're allowed to access.

Is there a file size limit?

There's no fixed limit. Because everything runs on your device, very large files (hundreds of MB) depend on your device's memory. A desktop browser handles big documents best.
